Joan Laporta has called the Europa League ‘Euroleague’ while mentioning Barcelona’s season objectives.
You may think it’s just a way of making it short. In fact, Laporta confused it with the European basketball competition called the Euroleague.
Barca’s basketball team are currently 2nd in the league table, just behind Real Madrid – and this tournament is clearly of big importance to Laporta as well.
Laporta quickly corrected himself, but anyway, this was a fun slip of the tongue.
Barca will face Napoli in the Europa League knockouts on February 17 and February 24.
