
The Greater Manchester, England police department says Manchester United player, Mason Greenwood was released from custody on Tuesday.
Police arrested Greenwood on Sunday on suspicion of rape and sexual assault and threats to kill. He spent the past two days being questioned before being allowed to post bail. Police say they will continue to investigate the case.
Greenwood remains suspended by his club until further notice.
U.S.-based sports apparel maker, Nike also suspended its endorsement deal with Greenwood as a result.
