Moroccan national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced on Tuesday the launch of its first-ever direct flight from Casablanca to Tel Aviv, Israel.

The new service starts on December 12 with three flights per week, RAM said in a statement.

The flights to Tel Aviv would take about five hours in each direction.

This new route meets the expectations of the Moroccan community in Israel, and would enable tourists and businessmen to travel between the two countries, it added.
