Declare Bandits Federal Civil Servants – Shehu Sani To Buhari Govt

Former Senator representing Kaduna Central District at the 8th Assembly, Shehu Sani has asked the federal government to declare bandits as civil servants since it is becoming difficult for them to pronounce them terrorists.

The President Muhammadu Buhari administration has been call upon on several occasions by well-meaning Nigerians, individuals and groups to declare bandits’ groups in the North as terrorists.

However, the government has remained adamant to the calls, saying that there is a process to declare a group as a terrorist organisation.

Afriupdate News recalls that Minister of Defence, Maj. Gen. Bashir Magashi (Rtd), had said that the need to follow due process was responsible for the delay in declaring bandits as terrorists.

Bandits and kidnappers are on rampage in the North West, killing, kidnapping and maiming residents.

In a tweet on Monday morning, Sani wrote, “They [bandits] killed Muslim worshipers in their mosques in Niger and Katsina State; they killed Christians in their Churches in Kaduna State; if the Government doesn’t want to declare them terrorists, it should declare them federal civil servants.”
