Officials in Cape Town, South Africa now say they can account for 66 crocodiles that escaped from a commercial breeding farm in Bonnievale, Western Cape on March 3rd.

Petro van Rhyn, spokesperson for CapeNature said the search continues for several of the other reptiles.

“We are continuing with night patrols and there are still trap cages in the river as well.”

It is yet to be established just how many young Nile crocodiles escaped in total, but it was discovered that they had managed to break through a wired fence.
