The Galadiman Kuduru, 91-year-old Alhaji Ibrahim Kuduru, was kidnapped penultimate Friday night by suspected bandits at Kuduru village in Kankia council area.
Spokesperson for the police command in the state, SP Gambo Isah, was yet to respond to inquiry made on the Maikada incident as at time of this report.

ALSO in Kaduna State, three people have reportedly been killed and one injured in separate attacks in Kajuru Council at the weekend.

The state’s security update February 20, 2021 stated that some youths allegedly collaborated with the terrorists in the attack.

A statement signed by the Commissioner for Security and Internal Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, stressed that security agencies were still investigating the alleged collaboration of some locals in the attacks.

“As security agencies probed this further, one such suspect simply known as ‘Doctor’ from Kujeni village was lynched by youths of Maro in revenge.

“Just before his death, he confessed his involvement in the attack, and named a certain Fidelis Ali, also from Maro, as another accomplice of the bandits. Ali has since been arrested and taken into custody by the police,” it stated.
SOME other terrorists, yesterday, set Holy Family Catholic Church and two houses ablaze in Kikwari village, Kajuru.

The commissioner said the report received by the government indicated that the locals fled the area on receiving information that some terrorists were sighted outside the village.

“On getting to the location, the armed bandits had set ablaze the place of worship and the two houses.“The governor has directed the Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency to urgently assess the damage done and take appropriate action. Security agencies will sustain patrols in the area.” He stated.

IN the same Kaduna, bandits invaded Baka village in Igabi Council and killed two persons, according to Aruwan, who also said they kidnapped nine persons in Sabon Birni area.

Aruwan said the bandits attacked the residence of the late Dan’azumi Musa, who was killed alongside his son by bandits a week ago.

“In the latest attack, a brother to the deceased, one Sale Musa and his son, Amiru Sale Musa, were shot dead. The bandits, operating in groups, also abducted a number of persons, mostly women and children.

“Troops based in the Sabon Birni engaged the bandits and rescued some captives from one of the bandit groups, while another group had earlier escaped with another set of hostages,” he added.

MEANWHILE, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Maj-Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, has ordered troops of Operation Lafiya Dole to rid Borno communities of Boko Haram terrorists,

The communities include Marte, Chukungudu, Kernoa and Keta around Lake Chad Basin. Attahiru gave the order yesterday while addressing over 400 soldiers at the Army Super Camp 9, Dikwa.

According to him, the essence of the visit was to motivate the troops in the ongoing counter-terrorism operations. On Saturday, he had said that operations in the theatre of war were being intensified and replicated to end insurgency, banditry and other criminal acts in the country to give them a final knock.
