Manchester United have confirmed that a case of a stomach cramps forced Scott McTominay off the pitch against Arsenal on Saturday.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “It was his stomach, maybe the food in the [London] hotel but whatever it was, he struggled. So we had to take him off.”
The club say in a statement that they hope that the illness is not ‘too severe’ and the 24-year-old could be available for selection against Southampton at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
