Manchester United and PSG are keeping tabs on Brest star Romain Faivre after a string of excellent displays in Ligue 1 this campaign. U21 France international signed for Brest from Monaco in July 2020 for a fee of nearly £400,000 after failing to make much of an impression at the Stade Louis II.
It appears that it was an incredibly shrewd bit of business from Brest, though, with Romain playing 19 Ligue 1 games this campaign, scoring four goals and catching the eye of European giants. Faivre’s form also saw him called up to the France Under-21 side this campaign, earning four caps and scoring two goals so far.
The 22-year-old midfielder is predominantly a left-winger, but can play on either flank and has also been used more as a forward as well. French publication report that ‘hordes of clubs’ are monitoring the French midfielder, given his current form, but specifically name Red Devils and Parisians as holding an interest in him.
Romain is under a deal at Brest until 2024, but the likes of Man United and PSG would not find it difficult to tempt him away from Brest and offer his side a huge profit on their tiny outlay for the footballer. Brest are currently 11th in Ligue 1 and do not compete in a European tournament.
The Red Devils are not expected to be busy with signing footballers this month, with outgoings more likely than incomings at Man United. The Norwegian manager has been open about wanting to get rid of Sergio Romero and Marcos Rojo this month, with their contracts expiring in the summer.
