Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly contacted Manchester United over a January move for defender Brandon Williams.
Brandon enjoyed a breakthrough campaign last term, making 36 appearances across all competitions.
The Englishman primarily operated as a left-back, although Williams is equally as comfortable on the right.
But has found senior team action harder to come by during the 2020/21 season, featuring for just 246 minutes in all competitions this campaign.
Leverkusen are on the observation post for a replacement for Santiago Arias, who suffered a season-ending injury two months ago.
The Colombian only signed for Die Werkself on loan in the summer and managed just one match before suffering a broken leg and ankle ligament damage while on international duty with his country.
According to Sky Sports, Bayer have earmarked Brandon as a potential replacement, and are keen on taking him to Germany on a permanent basis.
They have enjoyed an extremely impressive start to the campaign and currently sit second in the Bundesliga, just two points adrift of Hansi Flick’s Bayern Munich.
In spite of losing talisman Kai Havertz to Chelsea in the summer, Peter Bosz’s outfit look well placed to return to the Champions League next term but are mindful that they needed added depth in their roster.

If they continue to pursue Brandon, they’ll face competition for his signature from Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton among others.
The Saints were interested in recruiting him in the summer, only for United head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to block an exit from Old Trafford.
