Amaka Ekwo, the former Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB’s) New Media and Special Duties Coordinator and Press Secretary to Nnamdi Kanu, has refuted reports that she is feuding with the IPOB leader, Afriupdate reports.

Ekwo who made this clarification on her known Twitter handle on Tuesday stressed that she only resigned from her post – willingly, and without rancour.

As seen below, Ekwo was responding to a Twitter user who had insinuated that she “had problem with Nnamdi Kanu”, thus her resignation.

“Sorry, I can’t remember telling anyone that I had problems with our leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

“I only resigned from my post. No position is permanent, and it’s perfectly normal for people to leave a job at their will,” Ekwo wrote.

This online news medium understands that Ekwo remains an IPOB and Biafran activist.

Although, it is still not clear why Ekwo resigned from her role after one year in that position.

Self-exiled Kanu has since announced Carolyn Okorafor as her replacement.

IPOB, the now-outlawed group which Ekwo identifies with, is a Biafran separatist organization in Nigeria.

Its main aim is to restore an independent state of Biafra in the former Eastern Region of Nigeria through an independence referendum.
