Messi has now netted 644 goals for Barca, setting a new record for the goals scored for a single club – this one will be extremely hard to beat.
“To beat Messi’s 644 goal record, someone will have to score an average of 43 goals a season for 15 years….for one club. 🤯” Gary Lineker tweeted on Tuesday night after Leo set a new all-time record with his goal against Valladolid.
As we all know, Messi has surpassed Pele to become the highest goalscorer for a single club.
It took Leo exactly 15 and a half years to beat Pele’s all-time record: his first-ever Barca goal came in May 2005.
