Barca have endured a rather poor start to the season.
Sergio Gonzalez believes Barca’s draw with Valencia over the weekend won’t affect the Catalans’ mindset for Tuesday’s encounter at the Jose Zorilla.
“They’re finding it harder to win than in other seasons, but they can click at any time because they have very talented players,” Real Valladolid head coach Sergio Gonzalez told the pre-Barcelona presser, as quoted by Marca.
“It’s never a good time to play against Barcelona.
“They have the second-highest possession stats, and they pass the ball forward more than anyone.”
Ahead of Tuesday’s clash at the Jose Zorilla, the Catalans sit in fifth in the La Liga table, eight points behind league leaders Atletico Madrid.
As well as every other player in the squad, Leo Messi hasn’t arguably shown his best form this term so far.
“We’re used to it,” Sergio added on the Argentine. “I see him at the same high level as always. He’s still creating a lot and having chances, although maybe he’s slightly less effective.”
