A former Manchester United star, Andy Cole, has predicted the club to finish in the top four positions and qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Last season, Man United finished in the third position on the Premier League table.

However, Cole believes Man United can’t win the Premier League title this season, adding that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are not contenders for the English top-flight league title.

He said this ahead of Man United’s Premier League tie with Sheffield United on Thursday night.

“Manchester United are definitely not contenders for winning the Premier League this season,” Cole told The Target Man Podcast.

“I still think the club are a few years away from realistically competing to win the Premier League.

“I think the priority for Manchester United at the moment is to qualify for the Champions League and to hope to have a good cup run in a domestic competition.”
