Ronaldinho says that having sex before matches made him happier on the field.
The Brazilian reveals he lost his virginity at 13.
However, football coaches like Guardiola believe that having sex before games isn’t good for the players.
“During my time at Barcelona, I often practised sex before games. It was not a problem but a benefit, as it made me happier before I played on the field,” Ronaldinho told Playboy back in 2013. (h/t InsideWorldSoccer)
“The first time I had sex was at age 13 with a neighbour. We were friends, and it was beautiful for both.”
Not all coaches approve of their players having sexual intercourse before matches, though.
Pep Guardiola, for example, used to tell his players not to have sex after midnight if they had a game on the following day. This reportedly helped him get the best out of Leo Messi, allowing the player to avoid muscle injuries.
