There is another player that was involved in that game that’s still active, although he’s no longer at Barca.
The last time Barcelona faced Cadiz away was back in December 2005; the match ended in a 3-1 win for the Catalans thanks to goals from Eto’o and Giuly, Diario Sport report.
Barca’s starting XI for that match was: Valdes; Oleguer, Puyol, Marquez, Van Bronckhorst, Iniesta, Edmilson, Deco; Messi, Eto’o, Giuly.
Most of the Blaugrana players involved in the match have already retired, with Leo Messi being the only one still playing for Barca.
Andres Iniesta hasn’t retired yet, he’s currently playing for Vissel Kobe in Japan; the Spaniard left us in 2018.
Curiously, Henrik Larsson played for Blaugrana back then and he will be present at the match as well but only as part of Ronald Koeman’s staff.
Cadiz host Barca on Saturday, December 5; kick-off is at 9:00 pm CET.
