Direct transfer
As Neymar‘s current market value stands at €128m, Barcelona are unlikely to buy him anytime soon given all the financial consequences of the Covid-19 crisis.
The 28-year-old, however, is out of contract in 2022 and Paris Saint-Germain would probably be open to his exit on the cheap next summer if he decides not to extend his current deal.
What’s more, the Catalans also use some of their players as bargaining chips wo lower PSG’s using price for Neymar.
Loan plus obligation to buy
Barca could also land the Brazilian on a season-long loan deal in the summer of 2021. Given the expiry of Neymar’s contract the year later, Barca could offer PSG at least some money for his premature exit from the Parc des Princes.
Transfer request
If Neymar doesn’t want to continue in Paris, the most obvious thing for him to do is to hand in a transfer request at the club. Then it’ll be up to Barca and PSG to find a common ground over a transfer fee.
Messi joins PSG
Another option for Neymar’s reunion with Messi would be the latter’s move to the French capital. Leo’s contract with the Blaugrana expires next summer and the Parisians remain among the potential destinations for the 33-year-old.
Both end up joining Man City
The Citizens are believed to be the frontrunners to sign Messi if the Argentine decides to quit Camp Nou on a free transfer. Even though it’s very unlikely to happen, City certainly have enough funs to sign Neymar and Messi in the same transfer window.
