After failing to score in the opening seven games of the season, Griezmann has found the back of the net five times in Barca’s last 7 outings.
Koeman hopes the 29-year-old will continue like this in the following months.
“It is always a matter of trust of a player. As I said many times, Antoine has always worked hard to improve his game and effectiveness for the team,” Ronald Koeman said after Barcelona’s 3-0 win at Ferencvaros on Wednesday, as quoted by Goal.
“Now the goals come in and he is convinced because he has quality. I think this is important for any player.
“I hope he can continue with this effectiveness he’s having lately.”
Griezmann had endured a poor start to the 2020/21 season as he failed to find the back of the net in the opening seven games of the current campaign.
The 29-year-old, however, has managed to hit his stride lately. Antoine has scored five goals in Barca’s last seven outings across all competitions, including his opener in Hungary.
