Neymar still has some legal claims against Barcelona.
Emili Rousaud insists that he should drop the lawsuits before Barca re-sign him.
Rousaud adds that he’d only sign Neymar if the latter was available for free.
“With Neymar, we won the last Champions League and he was key in the 6-1 against PSG,” Barcelona’s presidential candidate Emili Rousaud has told L’Esportiu.
“It doesn’t make sense to throw money away and sign him for big money, but if he comes for free, the deal is possible. Everything would be conditioned on him dropping the lawsuits,” he added.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Neymar had insisted that Barca were still owing him €44m plus interest as a signing bonus.
Few presidential candidates actually plan to land the Brazilian if they win the election. Emili Rousaud and Joan Laporta are probably the ones who wish it the most.
